One Dead, One in Custody After Shooting at El Paso County Courthouse

One person is dead and one has been arrested following a shooting at the El Paso County Courthouse in Colorado Springs on Thursday morning.

According to police, the shooting occurred just after 10 a.m. at the courthouse located at 270 South Tejon Street. When officers arrived, they found one person dead from an apparent gunshot wound. A second person was taken into custody, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
