Manhunt Underway After Colorado Shooting Leaves 3 Dead, 1 Injured

Custer County sheriff’s deputies are searching for Hanme K. Clark, who is suspected of shooting and killing three people and injuring one other in a dispute over property lines. The shooting occurred on Monday, November 20, 2023, at approximately 1:00 p.m. in the wooded area along a property line on Rocky Ridge Road near Westcliffe, Colorado.

According to authorities, Clark fled the scene in a white Ram 1500 pickup truck with a topper and a Colorado license plate number BHLK27. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Law enforcement officers responded to the report of shots fired at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Monday. A local SWAT team responded about 20 minutes later. Upon arrival, officers found three people dead – two men and a woman. Another woman was shot and transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Custer County Sheriff Rich Smith has ordered a shelter-in-place for residents of the area as the search for Clark continues. Residents are advised to stay indoors and lock their doors.
