The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1 on Tuesday night. The Avalanche were a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill and got a big power-play goal from Cale Makar to defeat the Lightning. Ryan Johansen had a goal and an assist for the Avalanche, and Nathan MacKinnon and Logan O’Connor also scored.
Colorado State basketball cracks AP Top 25 for first time since 2022
Colorado State is back in the AP Top 25, coming in at No. 20 overall. The Rams are off to a 3-0 start this season, including a win over No. 11 Kentucky. CSU is led by senior guard Isaiah Stevens, who is averaging 21.3 points per game.
Broncos are officially in the playoff hunt
The Denver Broncos are firmly in control of their playoff destiny if they can keep riding the momentum of their winning streak. The Broncos have won four straight games, including a win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night. Denver is now 5-5 and is one game back of the first-place Chiefs in the AFC West.
Ivan Prosvetov makes 29 saves, Avalanche defeat Flames 3-1 for third straight victory
Ivan Prosvetov made his first start in more than two weeks and gave the Avs a solid performance on the tail end of a back to back. Prosvetov made 29 saves, including a big stop on a breakaway by Jonathan Huberdeau in the third period, to help the Avalanche defeat the Calgary Flames 3-1 on Tuesday night.
